There are also some Canadians in the mix, with one young and rising female star joining some of the biggest names in tennis as a favourite to win the tournament.

Women’s US Open Odds 2019

  • Naomi Osaka +800

  • Karolina Pliskova +1400

  • Petra Kvitova +1400
  • Top Canadian – Bianca Andreescu +1400

Men’s US Open Predictions

As has been the case at Grand Slams the last decade, Djokovic, Federer and Nadal are the three favourites to win. A win for Djokovic would give him four US Open titles, one behind the all-time Open Era record

Djokovic is the reigning champ and just best Federer, in one of the greatest tennis matches ever, at Wimbledon, which is why he tops US Open betting odds and is also our pick to win.

Djokovic is currently the best tennis player in the world. He is younger than Nadal and Federer and finishes minimal competition from his contemporaries and the younger players.

Also, excluding 2017 when he was absent from the US Open, Novak Djokovic has made it to at least the semi-finals every year since 2007. In fact, Djokovic had lost only one match at the US Open since 2015, when he lost in the Finals to Stan Wawrinka.

We expect another excellent performance from Djokovic this year and have him as the best bet overall to win the 2019 US Open.

Pick: Novak Djokovic (+105) to Win the 2019 Men’s Singles US Open

Women’s US Open Predictions

The women’s side of the 2019 US Open is much more open than the men’s side. US Open women’s singles odds give many players a reasonable shot at winning the tournament.

One of the reasons for the odds is the uncertainty around the two players who made the 2018 finals. Runner-up Serena Williams is dealing with a combination of injuries and endurance concerns this year. While last year’s winner Naomi Osaka is having a very underwhelming year.

Removing those two from the betting equations helps narrow down the picking process. With those to out, our top female from the 2019 US Open odds is Ashleigh Barty.

Barty won her first Grand Slam this year, the French Open, and had a decent showing at Wimbledon.

As the number two seed in the tournament, her path to the US Open Finals is not as hard as some of the other betting options. While she could face Angelique Kerber in the Round of 16, but outside of that, the competition is not to stiff on her side of the bracket.

Although Kerber is 3-2 against Barty in her career, Kerber has not been the same tennis player since winning Wimbledon in 2018.

We like the value on Barty to win the 2019 US Open (but also highlight below another woman with a great chance to win the tournament).

Pick: Ashleigh Barty (+900) to Win the 2019 Women’s Singles US Open

How will the Canadian talent fare in this year’s tournament?

While Milos Raonic just withdrew from the tournament, there are still a handful of Canadians playing at the 2019 US Open.

The top option to bet to win at the 2019 US Open is Bianca Andreescu. Even if you wanted to asterisk her victory at the Rogers Cup a few weeks ago, she is still one of the best female tennis players of 2019. She has picked up a win at Indian Wells to go with her Rogers Cup victory.

What is most impressive about Bianca Andreescu is her poise against higher-ranked tennis players. Andreescu is 10-0 against top-five ranked opponents, including 6-0 against current or former world number ones.

Her ability to stand against top-competition is why the 19-year-old has joined the list of US Open winner odds for the tournament.

While Andreescu is only 19 and yet to make much noise in at a Grand Slam, she is offering exceptional value at +1400. She is arguably the hottest female tennis player in the world and proven against the best players.

She is worth betting to win the 2019 US Open, or at least a smaller bet alongside a wager on Ashleigh Barty to win.

Pick: Pick: Bianca Andreescu (+1400) to Win the 2019 Women’s Singles US Open
