After some exciting football, shocking results and big upsets, it is now time to gear up for Week 2 of the 2018 NFL season. With 16 games on the schedule, there are many betting options available. Based off the numbers, matchups, history and relevant players involved, we have best against the spread, moneyline and game total bets for Week 2 of the 2018 NFL season.

NFL Betting Bullet Points for Week 2

  • Home teams 7-9 ATS in Week 1

  • Road teams 7-8-1 S/U in Week 1

  • O/U 9-7 in Week 1

  • Six teams won by double-digit scores
  • Only three games decided by a field goal or less

Best NFL ATS Picks Week 2

Philadelphia Eagles -3.0 (-125) over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Even though the Tampa Bay Buccaneers put on an offensive clinic in New Orleans last weekend, it is only a single week performance from a team and quarterback known for their inconsistencies. While the Eagles did not look their best in Week 1, only one Super Bowl champ in the last ten years won their season opener by more than eight points (with three straight up losing).

The Eagles are also 3-1 S/U against the Buccaneers since 2009. Better to beat on the Philadelphia Eagles championship roster over the Buccaneers and Ryan Fitzpatrick pulling off a ridiculous offensive outburst for a second straight week.

Chicago Bears -3.0 (-125) over the Seattle Seahawks

While the Bears collapsed in epic fashion on Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers, there are plenty of positives to take from their game.

The top one is the performance of Khalil Mack. Mack whacked havoc in the first half-time against the Packers, becoming the first player since 1982 to have a strip-sack, fumble recovery, interception and interception returned for a touchdown in a single half.

Mack should have another field day against the Seahawks, whose offensive line was in shambles last week against the Denver Broncos. Von Miller (who is Mack’s biggest competition for DPOY) had three sacks on Russell Wilson. As long as Seattle’s offensive line is this bad, betting against them is a popular trend.

Best NFL Moneyline Picks Week 2

New York Giants (+135) over the Dallas Cowboys

There are not many positives to take from the Dallas Cowboys Week 1 game against the Carolina Panthers. Their offence looks as flat as any in the NFL, while their defence gave up 147 rushing yards, eight most in Week 1.

The Cowboys rush defence will have its work cut out for them in Week 2 against New York Giants rookie running back Saquon Barkley.

Barkley showed off why he was worth the second overall pick in 2018, rumbling for a 68-yard rushing touchdown against a strong Jaguars’ defence.

Bet on Barkley to have an even better game in Week 2 and lead the Giants to their first win of the season.

Los Angeles Chargers (-310) vs. the Buffalo Bills

At this point, I am pretty sure I could play quarterback better than Nathan Peterman. As long as the Buffalo Bills start him, always bet against the Bills.

The Los Angeles Chargers should also have Joey Bosa back in Week 2, meaning even if Josh Allen plays, his offensive line will not give him enough protection to get the ball downfield in hopes to get some points on the board. Chargers are the lock of Week 2.

Best Over/Under Bets for Week 2

Over 44.0 Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals

These two teams combined to score 81 points in Week 1. Over their last ten games, the Baltimore Ravens are averaging 31.4 points, while the Cincinnati Bengals are averaging 31.3 points over their current three-game winning streak (which includes 31 points against Baltimore in Week 17 last season).

Under 52.5 Kansas City vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Despite all the talent on both these team’s offences, they have a history of playing lower scoring games. Their last three games average 41 points total, and over their previous ten meeting, only two games have totalled more than 52.5 (which includes a 61 point game all the way back in 2003).

2018 NFC West Outright Odds, Preview and Prediction
The NFC West does not get the credit deserves. The Division features some of the best running backs, young quarterbacks and defensive players in the NFL. Hopefully, you remember to pay attention to the Division in 2018, as the young talent is emerging, making a few teams hopefully for the postseasons and even the Super Bowl. 2018 NFC South Outright Odds, Preview and Prediction
Since its creation in 2002 (when the NFL expanded to four Divisions in each Conference), no Division in the NFL has had as much parity as the NFC South. The Division rarely sees a repeat winner, which suggests someone outside the Saints will grab the top spot in the NFC South this year. Of course, history is not the only factor and in terms of talent, the Saints have the best team in the Division going into the 2018 NFL season.
