Colour of Gatorade Poured on Winning Coach

Gatorade Colour sports-interaction sports-interaction Gatorade Colour

Orange

2.45 3.70 Clear

Red/Pink

3.95 4.45 Yellow/Green/Lime

Blue

8.05 9.00 Purple

Getting doused in a Gatorade shower after winning the Super Bowl is a right of passage. Picking the colour of the Gatorade, though, is a challenge. Orange leads all colours since Super Bowl XXXV with five appearances. Clear Gatorade (or potentially just water) and purple rank second with four appearances. Yellow and blue have shown up twice at the end of the Big Game, and twice nothing was dumped on the coach.

Last year, Chiefs coach Andy Reid was dumped in orange Gatorade. When the Bucs won Super Bowl XXXVII, the team showered Jon Gruden in purple. This bet is hard to predict, so we need to look a little outside the box on this one.

Since (and including) Super Bowl 35, the Big Game has been played in Florida six times. Those six games' colours were twice oranges, twice yellow, and twice clear. After a four year run (Super Bowl 39 to 42) on clear, we have not seen it again, leaving us orange and yellow. If we are splitting hairs between orange and yellow, we will go with yellow – since the payout on yellow is much better.

Pick: Yellow Gatorade Poured on the Winning Coach (4.45)

Tom Brady Passing Touchdowns

Over 2.5

2.30 1.55 Under 2.5

With all the success and records Brady has in nine Super Bowls, you would think over 2.5 passing touchdowns is a foregone conclusion. Yet, in nine Super Bowl games, Brady has only topped 2.5 passing touchdowns in a game three times (33%).

In two playoff games against the Chiefs, Brady has totalled one and two passing touchdowns – which is surprisingly low considering his team averages 32 points in those two games. Brady has only topped 2.5 passing touchdowns once (in the NFC Championship game against Green Bay) in his last seven playoff games. The under passing touchdowns is the better bet on Brady.

Pick: Tom Brady Under 2.5 Passing Touchdowns (1.55)

Tyreek Hill Total Receiving Yards

Tyreek Hill Receiving Yards betway betway Tyreek Hill Receiving Yards

Over 86.5

1.85 1.85 Under 86.5

When the Bucs and Chiefs played back in Week 12 – Tyreek Hill had one of the biggest games by a wide receiver in National Football League history. Hill finished the game with 269 and three touchdowns on 13 catches. He is also coming off three straight 100+ yard performances in the playoffs – including last Super Bowl. Even if the Bucs hold Hill to a third of the yard he had Week 12, he will finish 89 yards. Bet on the over!

Pick: Tyreek Hill Over 86.5 Receiving Yards

Either Team to Miss an Extra Point Attempt – Unibet

Will a Team Miss an Extra Point unibet unibet Will a Team Miss an Extra Point

Yes

3.30 1.33 No

Harrison Butker (Chiefs kicker) and Ryan Succop (Bucs kicker) were two of the best field goal kickers in the NFL this season, each hitting over 90% of their field goals during the regular season. However, they were not two of the best kickers this season on extra points attempts.

Succop and Butker combined to miss 11 extra points during the regular season and one each during the NFL playoffs. If this game is as high-scoring as we think, bet on one of these kickers to miss an extra point.

Pick: Yes (3.30) a Team Will Miss an Extra Point Attempt

Team Leading After First Quarter

Kansas City Chiefs

1.98 5.40 (Draw)
2.55 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The juice on betting a draw after the first quarter is undoubtedly attractive, but is it worth betting? Going back to the last time the Buccaneers played in the Super Bowl, the game has been tied after one quarter six times. That means this bet hits 33% of the time over the last 18 Super Bowls.

Decimal odds of 5.40 have an implied probability of only 18.5%. Betting on a tie after one quarter is one of the best payouts you can get on the game – assuming the historical data assuming each outcome has a 33% probability.

Pick: Score Tied After the First Quarter (5.40)

Half-time Show First Song

First Song sports-interaction sports-interaction First Song

Blinding Lights

2.37 3.59 Pray For Me

Starboy

3.60 4.20 Can’t Feel My Face

(Other songs available)

When picking the first song of the Super Bowl Half-Time show, you need to think about how the show will start. In recent Super Bowls, we have seen the show beginning with some grandiose spectacle starting at the top of the stadium – utilizing the sky. Since this is an East Coast Super Bowl, the sun will be down when the Half-Time Show starts. When the sun goes down, the stars come out. Would Starboy not be the perfect song to kick off the show?

Pick: Starboy (3.60) First Half-Time Show Song
