Best Stanley Cup Champion Future Bet

With the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs starting in less than a week, it's time to start looking at the teams with the best odds and the best bet for the eventual champion. Calgary, Colorado, Toronto, and Florida are going to be the top four teams with the lowest odds and the teams we'll be going over.

With the 2022 NHL season coming to an end with the Stanley Cup Playoffs starting on May 2nd, it's time to start looking at the favourites to win it all and the best bet for the future winner.

Fortunately, we will still be able to get great odds and there are a few times that have significant value.

Below, we will take a look at the top four odds to win the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Odds To Win The Stanley Cup

When looking at the type of season that the Colorado Avalanche were able to have as they're currently 56-18-6 with 118 points, it makes sense why they're the current favourites.Colorado Avalanche

Colorado does still have two games left in their season, but it would be likely that they're going to sit most of their key guys because they aren't playing for much at this point. Colorado was led by Mikko Rantanen, who has 91 points on the season.

Colorado has four guys in the top 19 in terms of points including youngster defenseman Cale Makar, who currently has 85 points.

The Avalanche have also had stellar goalie play as Darcy Kuemper currently has the fifth-highest save percentage in hockey at 92% and has only allowed 2.52 goals per game. He's currently 37-12 and the reason why this team is the best in all of hockey.

For Colorado to be the team that everybody expects him to be, they're going to have to get through a tough Western Conference. The Minnesota Wild, St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, and Edmonton Oilers aren't going to be easy teams to beat, but Colorado has proven that they can be the best team in all of hockey and that shouldn't change throughout the playoffs.

Florida Panthers

There's a great argument to be made that the Florida Panthers' season was more impressive than the Colorado Avalanche. They're the only team in the NHL who finished with more points than them with 120. Obviously, with two games remaining in Florida's schedule, that could change, but at the moment, it looks like Florida is going to lead the NHL in terms of points.

They've gotten major contributions out of a few guys this season including Jonathan Huberdeau who has the second-most points in the NHL with 115. He has 85 assists on the season, which is good for number one in all of the league.

One thing that could hold the Florida Panthers back in the Stanley Cup Playoffs is the fact that Sergei Bobrovsky hasn't necessarily looked great this season. He has a 91% save percentage but has allowed nearly 2.7 goals per game. He is 39-7-3, but most of that is because the Panthers have one of the best attacks in all of hockey.

In order for the Florida Panthers to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals, they would have to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs, Tampa Bay lightning, and most likely the Carolina Hurricanes.

Calgary Flames

The Calgary Flames are going to be coming into the Stanley Cup playoffs with the number one seed in the Pacific Division. They had an incredible year that saw them go 50-20-10 with 110 points. As crazy as it sounds, some people might be underestimating how good this Calgary team is just because of how well the Avalanche has played and people not believing that they can beat them come playoff time.

Calgary has two guys in the top seven in scoring this season as Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Tkachuk both have over 100 points. Gaudreau is third in league with 113, while Tkachuk is seventh with 102.

Although the Flames do have one of the best attacks in all of hockey, one of the main reasons why this team has been able to find success this season is because Jacob Markstrom might be the best goalie in hockey. He's currently 37-15-9 with a 92% save percentage and has only allowed 2.21 goals per game.

Toronto Maple Leafs

The Toronto Maple Leafs are somewhat similar to the Calgary Flames. People are forgetting that the Maple Leaves have 113 points and a record of 53-21-7 because of how well the Florida Panthers have played.

Auston Matthews was arguably the best player in all of hockey this season as he finished with 106 points, which was the fifth-best in the NHL. He put 60 goals in the back of the net, which led the league.

Jack Campbell could be the one thing that holds Toronto back this season. He finished the year with an incredible 31-19-5 record but allowed nearly 2.7 goals per game and had a 91% save percentage.

Best Bet For The Stanley Cup Future Champions

The best bet for the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup champions is going to be taking the Colorado Avalanche. Colorado has been the best team in all of the hockey the entire season, and there's truly no denying that.

Considering that they have guys all over the ice that can put the puck in the back of the net at any moment and they have one of the best goalies in all of the NHL, it seems safe to take them to win the Stanley Cup.
