Led by names like Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, the Anaheim Ducks have basically been a perennial Stanley Cup Contender since the mid-2000′s. The Ducks only have one Stanley Cup victory to their names in that time, but the duo of Getzlaf and Perry have been together for 10+ years entering the 2015-16 season. Getting stability like that from stars is a great way for an organization to build a consistent winner every year.

Betting On The Anaheim Ducks
Anaheim did have a few good years in their franchise’s short history before Getzlaf and Perry arrived for the 2005-06 season, but those two players really took this organization to another level. The Ducks celebrated a Stanley Cup victory parade after the 2006-07 season and that early success for Getzlaf and Perry was a huge confidence boost to their careers.
Anaheim’s management team has spent the years since then surrounding those two guys with quality pieces in hopes of duplicating that success soon. As a bettor, following the Ducks schedule and results is a must (and can be frustrating) every year. They don’t get all the attention they deserve because of the media’s “east coast bias,” and the rivalries they’ve developed with the Kings and Sharks in recent years are some of the best in the entire league.
Yet, Anaheim has shown a tendency to find ways to lose in big spots. Whether it be from poor play, or the most common reason, poor goaltending, Anaheim hasn’t been able to close the deal. When many believe the Ducks will finally recapture that Stanley Cup formula, the team finds ways to trip up, leaving their backers looking for reasons why.
The new regime in Anaheim feels like they’ve addressed many of those past issues, but it remains to be seen if another Stanley Cup banner is in the organization’s foreseeable future.
