Tampa Bay Lightning Betting Lines

Tampa Bay has had a bit more success in the NHL than their south Florida neighbours the Panthers. The Lighning were able to capture the franchise’s lone Stanley Cup in the 2003-04 season when they beat Calgary in an epic seven-game Stanley Cup Final. The Lightning weren’t as lucky in the 2014-15 season when they fell to Chicago in the Stanley Cup Final. However, this is an organization that is led by a Hall-of-Famer in GM Steve Yzerman who fully understands what it takes to win the ultimate prize in this league. [+]

Tampa is always a team to watch year-in and year-out, so sportsbooks have no problem offering multiple Tampa Bay Lightning betting lines on any given night.

Betting On The Tampa Bay Lightning

Despite the state of Florida not exactly being a hotbed for home-grown NHL talent, the Lightning have always been able to attract talented players at various stages of their respective careers. A strong mix of youth and experience on a roster is what leads to consistent winners in the NHL and that’s exactly what the Lightning have had in their lineup during their more successful seasons.

Veteran Dave Andreychuk was the Captain of this franchise when they lifted the Stanley Cup in 2004 and he was surrounded by budding superstars like Marin St Louis and Brad Richards at the time. All of those names moved on and down years followed for Tampa, but the drafting of Steven Stamkos in 2008 got this franchise back on track.

Stamkos was the star for Tampa during their run to the Finals in the 2014-15 season, but GM Steve Yzerman is never one to rest on his laurels. As long as Yzerman is at the helm of this organization, this Tampa Bay Lightning team will be one to watch each season for fans and NHL bettors alike.
